Systems Engineering Consultant- Defence/Aerospace

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000
My client is a highly reputable consultancy, providing support to both UK MoD and industry, predominantly within the aerospace & defence sector, ensuring complex programmes deliver on time and to budget.
A customer facing role, to advise clients and take responsibility for elements of delivery of their programmes to meet or exceed customer expectations. Current domains the client are involved in include; armoured vehicles, battlespace communications and information systems, weapons, and civil aircraft systems.
Skills & Knowledge:
Using Systems Engineering methodologies, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the delivery of large, complex programmes, ideally within the defence or aerospace domains. The candidate will possess knowledge/experience in all or some of the following:
- Requirements Capture (utilising DOORS)
- Modelling (UML, Artisan)
- Understanding of Architectural Frameworks (MODAF, DODAF)
- Knowledge of MoD procurement processes and structure
- Recent experience working on major defence related projects is desirable, examples include: FRES, C4ISTAR, Battlespace Communications and Information Systems, Weapons Systems, and much more.
Qualifications:
A good degree in Engineering/Mathematics/Physics or similar related discipline.
