My client is a leading defence client based in the Bedfordshire area they currently have a vacancy for an experienced, high-calibre RM&T (Reliability, Maintainability, Testability) Engineer who is seeking long term career growth within the Company.
The role is currently focussed on our Vehicles area but requires a broad knowledge of RM&T. The successful candidate will enjoy considerable autonomy of operation but will, in return, be wholly responsible for programme success within the specialisation.
Candidates will have experience, from large-scale MoD or industry projects, of the absolute need for RM&T to be built into system and component design and usage throughout the CADMID cycle, from bid and proposal to disposal.

Essential Skills:
Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the reliability engineering discipline
Ability to develop excellent working relationships within the programme, with customers and with sub-contractors
Ability to interface and influence on ARM issues at all programme levels
Experienced in Reliability analysis methods and use of reliability modelling software.
Undertake RM&T analysis and preperation of R&M documentation
Demonstrate the delivery of progressive reliability assurance through an R&M case approach
Use of FRACAS/DRACAS
Understanding of the linkage and synergies between RM&T and other disciplines Thorough knowledge and understanding of Def Stans 00-40, 00-41, 00-42, 00-43, Mil-Hdbk-217F, Mil-Std 1629
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of leading reliability programmes and review meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Proven ability of one or more of: ALT / HALT / RGT / RQT
Able to prepare and negotiate RMT contracts with suppliers - statement of work, requirements documentation, SDRLs, DIDs.
Maintainability - design for maintainability, maintainability analysis, EMA
Knowledge of testability design - fault detection and fault isolation techniques
Able to lead, mentor and manage other engineers within the RM&T discipline
Self reliance, ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
Experience with COTS based systems
Typical Minimum Education & Experience:
HND in an engineering discipline, BSc preferred. Candidates with lower qualifications e.g. HNC may be considered if able to demonstrate substantial relevant experience.
