Deputy Programme Manager
Our client requires a Deputy Programme Manager with experience managing through the project life cycle, preferably within the defence environment. The role will be a key position within the team with opportunities for progression and career development. This role will hold responsibility for the management of specific projects as well as supporting senior team members on large bids and programmes.

The Deputy Programme Manager, will be involved in the following:
Manage customer relationships regarding the Bid/Programme.
Prepare and conduct customer reviews, including acceptance reviews.
Negotiate contract amendments respecting engagement rules
Leverage commercial and legal framework to ensure the successful delivery of all requirements
Respecting contract terms and fulfilling customer requirements and expectations
Meeting target cost (allocated cost) and hence margin, while permanently seeking to reduce costs, carefully manage risks and leverage internal and external opportunities
Bid Management- Setting up and running bids/projects within time and budget with the clear aim of capturing the follow-on business.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in working Defence/ Governmental organisations. General financial and commercial awareness with experience in control mechanisms would be ideal. Furthermore, understanding of the fundamentals of the bid process with the ability to understand technical areas will be key in this role.
This job requires good interpersonal, written and communication skills. You will have the gravitas to achieve buy-in and influence decision making. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience with Bid and Programme Management.
