any personal information they receive for any use beyond that
stated, and strongly believe in the importance of keeping the
personal information private. ARM are committed to all the
principles of the Data Protection Act, and aim to respect your
privacy whilst offering relevant communications.

To aid us in the recruitment process, we will collect data such
as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, personal
service company details, unique personal identifiers, financial
information such as bank account details and work and education
history, plus your nationality, which we are required to collect by
law.
We also obtain information about you when we take up references
from past employers/clients. As an employment bureau and member of
the REC (www.rec.uk.com) and ATSCo
(http://www.atsco.org), we are
required to take up professional references on you.
We may undertake credit references, and other lawful checks,
where requested to do so by a client organisation.
We may store and record any telephone calls you have with our
staff for record keeping and quality control purposes.
We need your help to ensure that the data we hold is as accurate
and up-to-date as possible. To achieve this we ask you to update
your profile regularly and at a minimum every six months. Although
we will endeavour to keep in regular contact throughout the
recruitment process, and will contact you at least once every six
months, we are reliant on you to supply us with a factually
accurate and complete picture of you and your requirements.
Any sensitive data on candidates is only collected when
necessary, and the collection and handling of this data conforms to
legal requirements, such as equal opportunities laws and the Data
Protection Act.
On registering with ARM, you will be asked to explicitly give
your consent to agree to the collection and processing of sensitive
personal data supplied by you. Please note that throughout the
recruitment process, no information will be passed on to any client
or any other third party without your prior consent. ARM will also
gain your consent to contact you in accordance with the Privacy and
Communications Policy 2003.
Only qualified ARM staff will have access to your data, and only
in as much detail as is necessary for them to provide a recruitment
service to you.
You have a right to request a copy of the information held by us
about you in our records, and to correct any inaccuracies in the
information.
We also collect information to monitor overall website usage.
These figures, however, will not contain any personal information,
and are for statistical analysis only - recording IP addresses and
producing server logs – in order to monitor the volume of traffic
the site receives and to measure the number of visitors. We do not
use the information for tracking the activities of specific
visitors to the site.
We may use cookies to save your password that will assist you
when you re-enter this site, or to evaluate your interests. A
cookie is a small amount of data that our website sends to your web

At ARM we endeavour to ensure that your data is secure, although
data is not currently transmitted by methods that meet the high
security SSL standard. However, we do make use of both a firewall
and an IP router configuration to ensure that your data is secure.
