ARM's Oil & Gas recruitment division support seafarers by joining woolly hat week.
Contrary to popular belief, woolly hats indoors is not the
usual dress code for the ARM Oil
& Gas recruitment team, although you’d be forgiven for
imagining such apparel as de rigueur for this band of
hardened, weathered outdoor types.
Sorry to disillusion you: the team goes bare-headed (or
hair-headed) like the rest of us. But for these photos, our O&G
team is showing its support for a fantastic cause.
The
Sailors Society is currently championing an
international campaign to raise awareness and donations
towards providing welfare support to merchant seafarers. The
Campaign, appropriately called Woolly Hat Week, is from Sunday 6th
- 12th February, 2011.
As noted on an article from The K
Factor, "Organisers are hoping people will take part in ‘Wear
your Woolly Hat to Work Week’ and send in a small donation. The
money raised will help the Sailors’ Society provide assistance to
seafarers in ports across the world, as well as going towards the
transportation and distribution of woolly hats to seafarers
ill-prepared for colder climates."
Fundraising director Jan Webber said:
“It is a fun but fitting way to do your bit
for those braving the high seas on your behalf”.
ARM is proud to support this campaign
and has pledged a financial donation, along with a few pictures of
our team to help raise awareness of the cause. You can see the
pictures below.
Don’t they all look cool?
