ARM wins RBS Management Team of the Year Award.
On Thursday 22nd September 2011, ARM attended the Hampshire
Business Awards in the prestigious Avington Park, Winchester.
ARM was short-listed for Best Management Team of the Year Award,
along with Wessex Petroleum and Abel & Cole.
It was a memorable night, made that bit better when we won the
prestigious award! Winning this award is just one example of the
high calibre of staff we have at ARM and the investment we put into
managing and developing our staff.

Mike Gawthorne, Managing Director of ARM made the following
comments.
“I am very pleased to say that we won. This is a
testament to the company and the management team in particular. The
judges who included representatives from KPMG, Bond Pearce, RBS and
CBI were hugely impressed with the passion, professionalism and
determination demonstrated by the management team and business over
the last year. They particularly cited the management training
programmes and progression group training that we have in
place”.
Dan Salanson, Head of Corporate Banking for RBS in the Solent,
said:
"At the top of any successful company is a
successful management team. In today’s business environment it is
critical that management teams are engaged, driven and fully
understand the challenges and opportunities confronting their
companies. Over the last few years the ARM board of directors has
been instrumental in transforming the company from a boutique
consultancy into a thriving organisation of 180 plus staff with a
turnover approaching £100m, high staff retention, increased market
recognition and respect throughout the recruitment industry. The
team has successfully managed to control its organic growth, while
still maintaining the same corporate ethos on which it was
founded.”
Our future management team
Run by our in-house L&D team, ARM’s Advanced Learning Centre
(ALC) is a key part of our strategy for developing our managers of
the future. In it, all ARM staff receive the training required to
ensure that our clients, candidates and stakeholders get the best
of ARM.
From new recruits undergoing a 13-week structured intake
programme to the most senior managers receiving bespoke training
tailored to meet specific business challenges, the ALC is where our
managers of the future are made.
In the last financial year Sep 2010 – August 2011, ARM delivered
5009 hours of training to its workforce.
Other awards recognition for ARM!
This year, ARM is also a finalist in the National Online
Recruitment Awards (“Best small employer website” for our internal
recruitment microsite ARM.jobs)
and the Institute of Recruitment Professionals awards (“Support
team of the year” for our Marketing and Proposals department).
