IT Security news: It's the Global Spam Top Ten Hit Parade!
As issues of IT
securtity are increasingly debated across the globe
today Sophos, a provider of many IT
secrurity solutions has analysed world-wide spam trends
and released its findings.
the results annouce The USA at No.1. Congratulations
America - although I'm not sure this is a number one slot they are
particularly proud to have in their trophy cabinet!
The “Dirty Dozen” report found that the USA upped its percentage
of global spam from the third quarter and now accounts for 18.83%
of all junk emails, THREE times higher than second-placed
India.
And so, to the “Dirty Dozen” themselves:
1. USA - 18.83%
2. India - 6.88%
3. Brazil - 5.04%
4. Russia - 6.64%
5. UK - 4.54%
6. France - 3.45%
7. Italy - 3.17%
8. S.Korea - 3.01%
9. Germany - 2.99%
10. Vietnam - 2.79%
11. Romania - 2.25%
12. Spain - 2.24%
Others - 40.17%.
