Communication with candidates is key! ARM’s IT Sales Divisions 10 step pledge to candidate satisfaction
In a time when all candidates should be treated with equal value
and importance to recruiting clients, ARM’s IT Sales Division are
receiving repeated negative feedback on the “candidate experience”
received from competitive Recruitment Consultancies.
By not applying and prioritising the correct best practice
techniques, we recognise that this can quite rightly create a poor
market reputation within a niche discipline of recruitment, which
will reduce referrals and result in unproductive time working with
candidates to resolve needless frustrations.
ARM’s IT Sales Team are fully committed to best practice and
over the following weeks will provide a 10 step pledge on how we
aim to maintain the contact we have with our candidates throughout
the recruitment process to ensure candidates receive the correct
“candidate experience” from individual Consultants, ARM and the
recruiting clients we are assigned to.
Step 1. Confirming receipt of CV submissions
In a candidate heavy economic period, we are receiving an
increased volume of advert response and new CV submissions for
every opportunity we are assigned to and advertise. We aim to
respond to all CV submissions, whether they are via online or
direct applications. As a minimum we will respond confirming
receipt, thanking candidates for their application and managing
expectations that if their application is a match for our client's
requirements they will be contacted by one of our consultants
shortly. However, should this not be the case then we will, of
course, contact them should an appropriate vacancy arise in the
future.
As a minimum candidates will know that their CV has been
received and will have access to direct contact details for the
relevant ARM Consultant, should they have any further questions in
relation to the status of their application or require any further
information.
