14,000-foot charity skydive: 3 ARM employees to jump out of a plane!
Question: What have ARM employees Simon Welch,
Gary Dexter and Soraya Wood got in common?
Answer: at some point on 6th September this
year, they will all be hurtling towards the ground very, very
quickly.
The three ARM employees will perform a 14,000-foot
skydive on Tuesday 6th September to raise funds for two of
our designated charities, Help for Heroes and The Royal British
Legion.
Setting off from Netheravon Airfield, Salisbury, our brave trio
will experience a 45 second free-fall in their dizzying jump.
Simon, Soraya and Gary have set a target of raising at least
£1,500. If you would like to help them to achieve this goal please
offer your donation and track their progress via their
group fund raising
page.
Further information about the charities:
The Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion provides welfare to the whole Armed
Forces family - serving, ex-Service and their dependants. We also
campaign on a range of issues affecting Service people, are the
custodian of Remembrance, run the annual Poppy Appeal and are one
of the UK's largest membership organizations.
Help for Heroes
Help for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in October
2007 out of a desire to help the wounded Servicemen and women
returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. The message of the charity is
simple: We are strictly non-political and do not take a critical
stance - we simply want to help. We believe that anyone who
volunteers to serve in time of war, knowing that they may risk all,
is a hero. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things and
some of them are living with the consequences of their service for
life. We may not be able to prevent our soldiers from being
wounded, but together we can help them get better.
